Fall 2020 Residential Requirement Change

In response to a growing concern with COVID-19 and living in a residential hall setting, Lindenwood University is temporarily suspending the residential requirement for new students and all students otherwise required to live on campus including student-athletes, Presidential, and Sibley Scholars. Students now have the flexibility to live either on or off campus.

Hope Barnes receives Gilman Scholarship for Study Abroad in Ghana

Hope Barnes has been named a recipient of the U.S. Department of State’s Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, which is administered by the Institute of International Education. Barnes is from Irondale, Mo., and is a senior at Lindenwood. She is pursuing degrees in cultural anthropology and music.

Kerksick Named NSCA Educator of the Year

Chad Kerksick, associate professor of exercise science and director of Lindenwood’s Exercise and Performance Nutrition Laboratory, was named Educator of the Year by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. The award was announced virtually on July 8 and recognizes Kerksick’s contributions to the NSCA, his community, and to education and clinical application of strength training and conditioning.

Lindenwood, Missouri Foundation for Health to Mobilize Generation Z Voters

In an effort to increase voter turnout, Lindenwood University is participating in the Generation Z Leading the Vote Initiative. Aided by special funding from Missouri Foundation for Health, Lindenwood will try to improve voting turnout for historically underrepresented populations and assist Missouri voters in registration and access to information.
