Hammond Institute Fellow Publishes Retrospective on Nobel Prize Winner Samuelson

The work and career of the late Paul Samuelson, long-time MIT professor of economics is reviewed in a recent volume of 22 papers co-edited by Hammond Institute Senior Research fellow Richard G. Anderson (Ph.D, MIT, 1980); William A. Barnett, Oswald Distinguished Professor of Macroeconomics at the University of Kansas (B.S., MIT, 1963); and Robert A. Cord in London, formerly of Canterbury University (UK), published by Palgrave Macmillan.

Alumna Centini and Professor McMaken Publish Co-Authored Book Review

Lindenwood University graduate Kaitlyn Centini (BA, ’19 – religion, history, art history) and Dr. W. Travis McMaken, associate professor of religion, have published a book review in the April issue of the journal Interpretation. This peer-reviewed journal provides resources to pastors, theologians, and other scholars of Christianity and is published quarterly out of Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. Centini credits her Humanities degree for a “wonderful head-start” on graduate school. Real experience. Real success.

Anna Reynolds, a senior double major in history and political science at Lindenwood University, recently had a paper selected for the SIUE Symposium on Women and Gender, which was to be held March 21 but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Elmes Publishes Collection of Arthurian Poetry, Wins Competition

Dr. Melissa Ridley Elmes, assistant professor of English at Lindenwood University, published her first poetry collection, Arthurian Things: A Collection of Poems, in January 2020. This book was the winning manuscript in the World of Myth open contract challenge.

School of Health Sciences Donates Personal Protective Equipment to SSM Health

Lindenwood University’s Department of Paramedicine and School of Health Sciences has donated hundreds of masks, gloves, and scrubs to SSM Health to help address shortages in personal protective equipment faced by area healthcare providers.
